About me
Dr. Poncy received an Ed.S. degree in school psychology in 2002 from the University of Northern Iowa. After graduation he worked as a school psychologist for various Area Education Agencies where he gained experience practicing in progressive Response to Intervention models. Subsequently, Brian attended the University of Tennessee and received his Ph.D. in School Psychology (2006). During this time he received the Outstanding Dissertation Award from Division 16 of the American Psychological Association. In 2008 he joined the school psychology faculty at Oklahoma State University where he works a Professor. His research focus is in the areas of academic interventions and behavioral principles of learning, specifically in the area of mathematics. He teaches classes focusing on the design, selection, implementation, and evaluation of academic interventions and single case research designs.
