Join us for an engaging and interactive professional development session tailored exclusively for middle and high school algebra teachers. This intensive session focuses on equipping educators with a proven strategy, known as the Worked Solution Strategy, to effectively support and enhance algebraic reasoning skills among students. During this session, participants will dive deep into the cognitive processes involved in mathematical reasoning, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how the Worked Solution Strategy can empower students to think critically and problem-solve in algebra and geometry.
By the end of this session, participants will have a solid understanding of the Worked Solution Strategy and its application across middle and high school mathematics topics. Equipped with a deep understanding of the cognitive processes involved in mathematical reasoning, teachers will be empowered to facilitate meaningful learning experiences that nurture critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Grades 6-12; general and special education teachers; math supervisors and building administrators.
